Sylvia Roberta Taylor, 75, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 27, 2025. She was born on November 16, 1949 to the late Earl and Atha Jones.
Sylvia loved working in her yard with flowers, helping at the churches where she had been involved and members, along with a Sunday School Teacher: Community Baptist and Cookson Creek Baptist Church. She retired after many years serving with Life Care Center in Ducktown, TN.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Glen Taylor, brother Lavern Jones; and niece Ann Prince.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Sondra Deal (Newell), Lisa Peels (Ed); bonus daughter Karen Headrick; sister Vivian Gurley; special sister-in-law Janice Jones; grandchildren: Tabatha Lones (Adam), Joshua Kelly Stillwell, Amber Davis (Matt), James Mathis, Eddie Peels II, James Peels (Tabatha), Rusty Peels (Shayna), Levi Peels (Ellie), Miracle Strausser (Trevor); great grandchildren: Carter Stillwell, Kyler House, Kari House, Albany House, Paysun Lones, Carsun Lones, Hillary Davis, Clayton Mathis, Taylor Mathis, Jackson Mathis, Gracelynn Mathis, Loren Davis, Logan Davis, Jace Peels, Ashton Peels, Brennan Peels, Everleigh Peels, Ronin Peels, Sampson Strauser, Kenzlie Peels, Olivia Peels, Grayson Peels. In addition to these she leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Sylvia's life will be held at 2pm on Wednesday April 30th at Community Baptist Church in Farner, TN with visitation prior from 12pm-2pm. She will be laid to rest following the visitation at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Farner with Logan Davis, Clayton Mathis, Taylor mathis, Micky Taylor, Spider Johnson, and Cody Chapman serving as pallbearers. Jackson Mathis, Adam Lones, Tony Wooton, James Mathis, and Matt Davis will serve as honorary pallbearers.
