WADESBORO - On Saturday, November 4, 2023, Mr. T.F. Boone, 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Helms and Rev. Jimmy Knotts officiating. Interment will follow in Jowers Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
T.F. was born December 27, 1944, in Anson County NC and was a son of the late Joseph Boone and the late Annie Gainey Boone Williams. He had a long and productive career with W. R. Bonsal Company in Lilesville, retiring as Superintendent after nearly 40 years of service.
He was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church.
T. F. enjoyed time spent golfing, farming, fishing, but most of all with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Shelba Jean Jackson Boone; his sons, Tony (Donna) Boone of Oakboro and Kevin (Samantha) Boone of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Morgan (Chad) Baldwin and Matt Boone both of Rockingham, Misty Boone, Hailey Boone and Billy Boone all of Wadesboro, Evan Boone of Oakboro and Will (Lyndsay) Griffin of Monroe; his great-grandchildren, Trinity, Taylin, Benton, Grayson and Aiden; his sister, Brenda (Pat) Layman of Simpsonville, SC; his sister-in-law, Elaine Lear of Wadesboro; his brother-in-law, Jon Robertson of Florida and his nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chris Boone; his sisters and brothers, Willie Mae (Ralph) Ricketts, Sudie Bob (Bill) Meachum, Helen (Mutt) Williams, Peggy Robertson, Olin (Jean) Boone, Grady Boone and Agnes (Tony) McLean and his brother-in-law, Archie Jackson, Jr.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 3520 Stanback Ferry Ice Plant Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170 or to Anson Community Hospice, a division of Richmond County Hospice, 1119 N US 1 HWY, Rockingham, NC 28379.
