T. Joan (Beckman) Beamer, 95, of Oakley, died Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was the eighth child of John A. and Walburga (Robben) Beckman, born October 23, 1929, in Angelus, KS. She moved with her family to Denver, CO, where she attended Columbine, Loyola and St. Joseph Schools. In 1948, Joan married R. Boyd Beamer, of Oakley, KS and moved to the farm in Kansas. To this union five sons were born, Richard, Steven, Dennis, Stuart and David.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband R. Boyd Beamer; sons, Richard, Stuart and Dennis; siblings, Jerry, Marie Sullivan, Vivian Drotter, Eunice Zimmerman, Cyril, Felix, Louis, Jane Craven and Jack; father and mother-in-law, Ross and Ethel Beamer; sisters-in-law, Leah Walz, Wilma Woodhouse and Geneva Brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Steven and David (Karrie); grandchildren, Chelsea (Matt) Creekmuir, Jenny (Tate) Briseno, Travis (Jessica) Beamer, Sarah (Ammin) Spencer, Jola (Brian) Miller; and great grandchildren Madelyn, Paige, Chandler, Josiah, Levi, Corban, Jaden and Juliet.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. A Memorial Service will at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley, with burial in the Oakley City Cemetery.
