Ta'Nessa Johnson Obituary
Ta'Nessa Anah Marie Johnson passed away on January 12, 2024, in Tulsa, at the age of 32. She was born on January 11, 1992, in Tulsa, OK to Leam and Paula Michelle Johnson. She was also blessed with two sets of parents named Papa Steve and Mama Phyllis Johnson who helped raise her when she was little. She grew up in the Shawnee/Tecumseh area. Ta'Nessa later moved to Tulsa, OK. She lived most of her life in Tulsa and soon became a mother to one daughter and four sons. She was raised with many siblings and cousins. Ta'Nessa had a big caring heart, especially for her children. She will be greatly missed by her many family members and friends. She was a member of the Absentee Shawnee and Seminole Nation Tribes.
Ta'Nessa is survived by her children, Daniella Johnson, Xavier Johnson, Jaylin Johnson, Larry Gardner and her youngest son, Leonel Baez and his father, Leonel Baez; her parents, Leam and Michelle Johnson; Daddy Steve and Phyllis Johnson; her siblings, Joseph Johnson, Priscilla Tebe (Johnson) and Jojo Tebe, Crystal Perez (Johnson) and Marcus Perez, Victoria Tanyan (Johnson) and Sterling Tanyan, Wally Bear, Jarrel Wise, Nakota Tiger and Crystal Klein; her Godmother, Thelma Russell and many other family and friends.
Ta'Nessa was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Gazaway; grandfathers, Eugene Johnson and Larry Gazaway; grandmothers, Myrtle Johnson and Saundra Jackson; two aunts, Melissa Gazaway and Cheryl Buckley and three uncles, Walter Johnson, Joe Johnson and Curtis Johnson.
Those serving as casket bearers will be Anthony Robidoux, Nakota Tiger, David Meely, Webb Maddox, Wally Bear, Tuskia Johnson and Jarrel Wise. Honorary casket bearers will be Samson Fixico, Justin Meely, Kody Meely, Dylan Buckley and Leam Johnson.
A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Snake Creek Baptist Church #2 in Seminole, OK.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Snake Creek Baptist Church #2 in Seminole, OK. Interment will follow at Snake Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
