Tabitha "Anne" Owen
Tabitha "Anne" Owen finished her journey on this earth January 20, 2024. Her faithful journey of 84 years began February 8, 1940.
She joined her parents, Rev. Dillard and TeCora Owen. Her brothers and sisters were waiting for her. These were Iduma, Calvin, Clarence, Obed, Frank, Manuel, Ken, Lela, Leo, Bill, Ila, and Dora. Many other friends and family were waiting for her there as well.
She left behind Joe Dennis Owen, her husband of 62 years, and their children. Crystal, Deran, Shelda, and Kellie.
Throughout her life she often loved others as they were her own. These were especially close and welcomed into her home. Left behind were Judy and Frank. Waiting on her was Holly.
One of her most special roles was to be a Mamaw to her 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. From telling stories, making syrup sandwiches, playing in the dirt, hunting rocks, and picking them up from school when they were "sick." She was always there for them. She was also very proud of each one.
She loved all animals. From the baby bear that followed her home, the goats she raised, horses, and many dogs. As her Moma said, "They knew she was a critter just like them."
If you ever met her, you had an immediate history lesson. Her joy to tell stories and share all about the area she lived and loved was a special part of her. She took so much family history and knowledge with her.
In all the roles you were here, you will be missed and remembered. Now rest.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
