Tamara Nance Jones, 50, of Hampstead, North Carolina passed away on December 7th, 2024.
Tamara was raised in Hope Mills, North Carolina, where she graduated from South View High School in 1992. Starting at the age of fifteen, she worked alongside her father at his insurance agency, and over time, she turned that experience into a successful business and career of her own. When she wasn't working she loved spending time at the beach with her children, often relaxing in the sun or taking long walks in search of shark's teeth. Tamara was not only an exceptional cook, both in the kitchen and on the grill, but she also truly enjoyed cooking. She loved preparing meals while watching classic movies, and after dinner, she often filled her home with laughter and fun, playing Wii bowling with family and friends.
Tamara had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went, never knowing a stranger and always opening her heart to others. She welcomed everyone into her life, treating friends of her children as her own, offering love and guidance to those who crossed her path. Above all, her four children were the center of her world, and she dedicated herself fully to their well-being and happiness. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Tamara is preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha Nance; her sister, Roxanne Fisher; and her former husband and father of her children, William Jones III.
Tamara is survived by her four children: Lane Jacobs, Savannah, Madison, and Wilson Jones; her sisters, Donna Monroe and Jennifer Burt; her nieces and nephews, Cypress and Casey, along with her great-nieces and great-nephews, Iris and Tanner; and her beloved furry companions, Rosie, Jhit, Nola, Buoy, and Brutus.
All services will be held at Faith Harbor United Methodist Church in Surf City on Sunday, December 22nd. The viewing will take place at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life following the funeral service at Faith Harbor United Methodist Church. 14201 NC Hwy 50/210 Surf City, NC 2844
Flowers can be sent to Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville prior to service. Family is using Flowers by Glenda as their florist for service

I am so sad to learn that Tamara is now in Heaven. Although our meeting was brief, several years ago I was blessed to meet her. My memories of that meeting to this day still brings a smile to my face. And that is why with confidence I can say, Tamara made a positive impact in my life and there's no doubt. She will be terribly missed by everyone that had the honor of having her in their lives and hearts...
