Tamara Rene "Tammy" Stickans, 62, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:51 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at her home.
Born December 22, 1961, in Batesville, she was the daughter of Betty (Roth) Gunter and the late Roy Gunter. She married Martin Stickans on December 31, 1997, in North Vernon; he survives.
Tammy graduated from South Ripley High School in 1979 and managed Ivy Park Apartments for 19 years. She was a member of the North Vernon VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was the VFW Ladies president for 17 years. Tammy loved gardening, flowers, and cats.
She is survived by her husband; her son, Rodney Gunter of North Vernon; stepson, Aaron Stickans of Columbus; stepdaughter, Andrea (Adam) Gootee of North Vernon; mother, Betty Gunter of New Marion; brother, Wayne (Mindy) Gunter of Osgood; sister, Kim (Curt) Tyler of North Vernon; and grandchildren, Skylar and Isaak Gunter, both of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Danny Gunter.
A funeral service for Tammy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow at New Marion Cemetery in Versailles.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Tammy through the funeral home to Matt Hester VFW Post #2021.
