TAMEKA RENEE BRYANT

Tameka Renee Bryant, a talented chef at Compass and team lead of EVS at Baylor Hospital, passed away on December 31, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and culinary excellence. She was a beloved mother, sister, friend, and mentor to many. Tameka's passing has left an indescribable void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on September 22, 1975 to the parents of Mary Bryant and Bobby Brown Sr., Tameka embraced life with enthusiasm. Her vibrant personality was contagious and she had an exceptional knack for making everyone around her feel welcome and included. Tameka's outgoing nature allowed her to connect with people from all walks of life effortlessly. She possessed an unwavering empathy for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
In her professional life as a chef at Compass, Tameka was dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences for patients and staff alike. Her innovative culinary skills and passion for food were evident in every dish she prepared. As the team lead of EVS (Environmental Services) at Baylor Hospital, she led by example and inspired her colleagues with her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Outside of work, Tameka had a deep passion for arts and crafts. Whether it was painting masterpieces or creating beautiful handmade cards, she had a natural talent for bringing beauty into the world through her creativity. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, cherishing each moment with them while nurturing their own artistic talents.
Tameka is survived by her loving children: Jarius Bryant, Darius Bryant, Jazznae Bryant; as well as Theodric Johnson - a cherished son who holds a special place in her heart. Tameka's dedication as a mother was unwavering and she strived to provide them with all the love and support they needed Her children will always be a testament to the lasting impact she had on their lives.
Tameka leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Mary Bryant; siblings, Roshonda Bryant, Catrina Reece, Bobby Brown Jr., Jeremy Hemphill and Gregory Brown; aunts and uncle, Tonya Bryant, Joe Lee Bryant Jr., Shelia Bryant and Arelia Porter; nine grandchildren; many cousins and friends.
The services to honor Tameka's life will be held at two separate locations. The Prayer Service will take place on January 5, 2024, from 7:15 PM to 8:15 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX, 75224. The Funeral Service will be held on January 6, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM at IBOC (old facility), situated at 7710 S Westmoreland Rd, Dallas, TX, 75237. These events are an opportunity for family and friends to come together and celebrate Tameka's remarkable life.
Tameka Renee Bryant was a shining star in our lives who illuminated the world with her kindness and generosity. Her absence is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace as her memory continues to inspire us to live with love and compassion.
