Tami Denice Young Pledger

Tami Denice Young Pledger passed from this life to her eternal life on December 22nd 2025. Tami made a profession of faith early in life and was a lifelong member of Hurricane Baptist Church, Clinton SC. She also attended Fountain of Faith, Joanna South Carolina.

She appreciated the love and support that she was given by both congregations and family, especially during the last 10 years of her life where she dealt with numerous health issues and cancer. She loved life, having fun, spending time with friends and family, especially grandchildren and cousins, and going to the beach. She loved and trusted everyone.

She was a graduate of Clinton High School and worked several years at Recreation at Whitten Center and the remainder of her work career was at Abercrombie textile mill in Shelby, North Carolina.

She is survived by her mother Cornelia Young and sister Charlene Smith of Clinton, brother Benny Young (Pat) of Lugoff; Sons Dillon Pledger, Columbia; Brandon Pledger, Shelby North Carolina. Grandchildren Harley and Richie Pledger and their mom Amanda Ramsey of Mooresboro, North Carolina, Carolina Pledger and her mother Tiffany Wheeldon of Gaffney South Carolina; nieces and nephews: Jennifer Smith, Amanda Wolfe, Jeremiah, Joseph and Joshua Young of SC and Amanda Pledger, Stephanie Mullinax, Christin Napier, Lena Colwell, and Brittany Lovelace of NC as well as numerous cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her father Charles W Young, brother-in-law David Smith and husband Larry Pledger Jr.

The family is grateful for the support and assistance of cousins Vicki Cheek and Nancy Thomas as well as Gray's Funeral Home.

A celebration of life service will be held at Hurricane Baptist Church in Clinton South Carolina on January 3rd. Visitation will be at 1:00, the services will be at 2:00.
