Tamie Fay Evans, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully at her home on August 15, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on September 2, 1964, in Flint, Michigan, Tamie's life was a testament to her thoughtful nature and her unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Tamie shared a beautiful and enduring love with her husband, Richard, whom she married on February 28, 1987. Together, they built a life filled with joy and laughter, welcoming three daughters into the world: Amanda (James) Devine, Emily (Chad) Bennett, and Hollie (Josh) Giddings. Tamie's role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, and she instilled in her daughters the values of kindness and compassion that she herself embodied.
Her love extended to her siblings, Dallas (Vonda) Heavner, Dawn (Dan) Grabowski, Sibyl (Brian) Hartley, Cindy (Ken) Buszek, John (Pam) Heavner, Robin (Debbie) Heavner, and Bryce (Tina) Heavner. Tamie was a cherished sister, and the bond she shared with each of them was unbreakable.
Tamie was a proud grandmother to Nikolas, Adalyn, Rhys, Rhyan, Mavryk, and Eva. She delighted in their accomplishments and adventures, and her guidance and love will forever be a treasured part of their lives. Her mother-in-law, Joyce Evans, and stepmother, Donna Heavner, along with her close friend Marion Butterfield, also held special places in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Sibyl, and her sister, Julie West. Their memories and the lessons they imparted remain a guiding force in the lives of those who loved them.
Tamie's professional life was dedicated to nurturing and caring for others, as she ran a childcare from her home. She was a cornerstone in the lives of many children and their families, providing a safe and loving environment for them to grow and learn.
Her interests were as varied as they were passionate. Tamie found solace in her garden, where she cultivated not only flowers and plants but also a sense of peace and tranquility. She was an avid traveler, always eager to embark on new adventures, whether it was a trip up north to her cabin in Mio or setting sail on an ocean cruise. These experiences enriched her life and created lasting memories for her and her family.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville.
