Tammie Bumpus Obituary
Tammie was born on February 11, 1964, in Galesburg, Illinois. She moved to Bonita Springs in 1985 from Galesburg and proudly called Southwest Florida home for more than 40 years.
Tammie dedicated her life to caring for others through nursing. She began her education at Sandburg College in Illinois, where she earned her LPN. After relocating to Florida, she continued her studies at Edison College in Fort Myers, completing her schooling to become a Registered Nurse. Tammie was currently employed at Gladiolus Surgery Center in Fort Myers, where she was known for her compassion, professionalism, and commitment to her patients.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey A. Bumpus of Bonita Springs, FL; her mother, Betty Forbes Higbe of Fort Myers, FL; her son, Joseph L. Scott of Bonita Springs, FL; her daughter, Jessica Marie Scott of Scranton, PA; her stepsons, Jeffrey W.H. Bumpus of Bonita Springs, FL and Michael D. Bumpus of Fort Myers, FL; her stepdaughter, Suzanne M. Bumpus of Burlington, VT; five grandchildren; and her sisters, Laura Westfall of Bonita Springs, FL and Michelle Stokes of Galesburg, IL.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the family residence. All are welcome to attend.

Jeff, I am so sorry for your loss. Reading about Tammie´s career in nursing, it´s clear she spent her life caring for others with great professionalism and heart. The impact she made on her patients and the community is a beautiful legacy. My thoughts are with you and your family.
