Tammy M. Beckham, 59, left this world too soon, on October 4th, 2025. Tammy was born March 28th, 1966, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In her early years, Tammy grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Arlington High School. She excelled at running track, swimming, and even boxing, making her a feared prospect by many reluctant male suitors.
Tammy was remarkably talented in many fields, but mostly worked hard all of her life with her own painting company, believing that no job was ever done until it was absolutely perfect. She painted million dollar award-winning homes, transforming simple wood into unbelievably beautiful glass-like surfaces. Tammy spent her last 34 years with the love of her life, Julie Gerard. They enjoyed many successful ventures together, from owning a huge fun park, which had always been a dream of hers, to a comedic escape room business. But of all the fun, her favorite was always their enormous haunted house, where Tammy would build animated props, and always delighted in scaring anybody whenever she had the chance. Between Tammy’s painting company and the couple’s Fun Park, their banking rep once marked Tam and Julie as one of the most successful business teams on Indy’s Eastside. Tammy loved fast cars, carts, cycles, quads, jet skis; basically anything fast, and the faster, the better, and then kicking back with Julie and their Doberman, Xena, Warrior Princess. Tammy is survived by her parents Steve (Bonnie) Beckham; her love, Julie Gerard; step-mother Sheila Jaoski; siblings Angie Abbott, Greg Mason of Indianapolis, and Tawyna Bendlin and John Simpson of California.
She is preceded in death by her birth mother Mary Simpson and many beloved pets.
Visitation for Tammy will be Thursday October 16th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 12-3pm. Her service will begin at 3pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
