Tammy Blank

Tammy was called home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 12, 2023 in the presence of her Mother.
She was born on June 16, 1961 in Cumberland to Peggy and George Whitaker.
Tammy is preceded in death by her father, George E. Whitaker Sr., maternal grandparents, George and Alice Bucklew and paternal grandparents, Carl and Dale Whitaker.
She is survived by her husband of 9 years, James Menefree; her mother, Peggy J. Whitaker; her siblings Brenda J. Whitaker (Frostburg); George E. Whitaker Jr. and wife LuAnn, and nephews Ryan and David Whitaker (Frostburg).
She was a 1979 graduate of Beall High School and continued on to graduate from Allegany Community College. She was currently employed at Hamiliton Relay. Tammy loved anything crafty including ceramics and paintings. She was a very giving person to anyone she met and always made sure to keep in touch with family members with cards and phone calls throughout the year.
Tammy was a wonderful daughter, sister, and wife and will be dearly missed by all of us especially her little dog "Tinkerbell".
As per her wishes Tammy was cremated.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM a Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 PM with Rev. Jim Jefferies officiating.
