Tammy Janell Downs, born on April 11, 1974, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on May 6, 2024, in McKinney, Texas. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend.
Tammy led a fulfilling life starting with her pursuit of education that culminated in a Bachelor's Degree. She embarked on a successful career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep before embracing the role of being a devoted stay-at-home mom, where she poured her love and dedication into caring for her family.
Throughout her life, Tammy touched the hearts of those around her with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Whether through her professional endeavors or her commitment to her family, she always exuded warmth and compassion in all that she did.
Tammy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her mother Carol Moore, grandparents Lottie Ciel Moore, Marie & Robert Lay, beloved Uncle Roy, sister Victoria Archangel, and fur baby Cali. She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband of 23 years Terry Downs; two daughters Torri M. Downs and Tamia J. Downs; father Duffie Moore Jr. (wife, Patricia Moore); five brothers, Stanley A. Lay (wife, Patricia Lay), James D. Moore, Marklin L. Moore, David Moore, Duffie Moore III (wife, Consettia Moore); and two sisters, Nicki Stevenson, and Lottie Conway (husband, Paul Conway).
As we bid farewell to Tammy Janell Downs, let us remember the joy and love she brought into this world and cherish the moments we shared with her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly cherished and admired by many.
Rest easy now, Tammy. Your legacy of love and kindness will forever endure in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing you.
