Tammy Garofalo Obituary
Tammy Garofalo age 67, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday August 27, 2025, at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie, PA on November 26, 1957, a daughter of Helen Taylor Powers and the late Maurice E. Powers.
Tammy graduated from General McLane High School in 1975 and went on to work as a Nurses Aid.
She enjoyed crafting and going to Bingo. She loved her family. Her biggest joy was her grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, James Vereb.
Tammy is survived by her sons, Ryan D. Garofalo of Edinboro and Paul S. Garofalo and his wife Monica of Yuma, AZ; her siblings; Tim Powers and his wife Carol of Orlando FL; Tina Corbett and her husband Claten of Rock Hill SC; and Todd Powers of Cambridge Springs; four grandchildren, Connor, Sebastian, Valentina and Ophelia; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, Girard.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
