Tammy Lynn Gray

Tammy Lynn Cayton Gray, age 60, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away at her residence on Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was born in Elizabeth City, NC, on September 20, 1965, to Esther Williams Evans. Tammy leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love. For nearly two decades, she was a valued Assistant Manager at Sun Realty, where her hard work and commitment were evident to all who had the privilege of working with her. Her passion for the Dallas Cowboys was well known, as was her deep affection for her beloved cat, Cleo. Above all, Tammy cherished her family, always putting them at the center of her life. She will be remembered fondly by those who knew her and by those whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Peggy Cayton of Camden, NC, Susan McLawhorn (Robert) of Elizabeth City, NC, and Jenny Williams of Virginia Beach, VA; and her aunts, Rosalie, Rose, and Mary; three nieces; two nephews; and a host of other extended family members.
