Kernersville- Miss Tammy Lynn Hedgecock went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on June 10, 2024. She was born June 23, 1983 to James Dwight and Joyce Ella Anderson Hedgecock in Forsyth County, NC. Tammy loved her family with her whole heart, and she regarded her highest honor as being Aunt Tammy to her three nieces and one great-nephew. Besides her family, Tammy loved reading and movies, especially anything to do with history. She loved traveling; her favorite place on earth was Gatlinburg, TN because it was her daddy’s favorite place too.

Along with her father James, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Doris Anderson, and her paternal grandparents Pervie and Faye Hedgecock along with two aunts and two uncles.

Left to cherish her memory are: her favorite person, her mother, Joyce; her two older sisters Terri (Rick) Ashley, and Stacy (Newell) Montgomery; three nieces Taylor (Zack) Albright, Meaghan Montgomery and Madelyn Montgomery; one great-nephew Weston Albright, along with her Aunt and Uncle Janet and Mike Weaver, Aunt Judy Anderson, a special cousin David (Nicole) Weaver, and several other cousins. Tammy was so loved by many, and she loved them all so much.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday, June 13, 2024, at New Journey Fellowship in Kernersville, NC with Pastor Tim Blackburn officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am-10:45am prior to the service. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
