Tammy Lynn (Vitali) Keck, 64, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, February 8, 2024 after a courageous 3-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Tammy was born on June 18, 1959 in Winchendon, MA. She resided in Gardner for the past 28 years. Tammy was the daughter of the late Enio and Pearl (Beckwith) Vitali. She graduated from Murdock High School with the class of 1977 and Mount Wachusett Community College in 1979 with her associate’s degree. Tammy was a dedicated employee of Heywood Hospital for 35 years working in patient accounts.
Tammy loved to live an active lifestyle. She was a devoted member of Fitness Concepts where she enjoyed working out with her gym family and developed cherished friendships. She had been a fighter ever since her diagnosis, attending class each day she could. She lived for today, not tomorrow.
Tammy also enjoyed taking long walks, hiking Wachusett Mountain, holiday traditions, and ice cream in the summertime. She loved to travel, especially to the beaches and her happy place, Aruba. Tammy always looked forward to Saturday night dinner dates with Don.
Tammy is survived by her loving partner of 30 years Donald Tardy; her beloved dog Lexi; sister Kimberly Drudi of Fitzwilliam, NH; her nephew Travis Drudi, his wife Karen, and their children Mason, Jack, and Oaklyn, whom she treasured.
In addition to her beloved parents, Tammy was predeceased by her husband Cecil L. Keck and brother-in-law, Gary Drudi.
A special thanks to Allison Shields for being such a wonderful advocate during Tammy’s illness. The family would also like to thank the oncology and infusion teams at Tufts Medical Center for their wonderful care.
