With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tammy Manahan, who left this world on September 21, 2025, at the age of 55.

Born on December 8, 1969, Tammy brought warmth, strength, and unwavering love to everyone who knew her.

Tammy is lovingly remembered by her children, Ciara, Kassie, Hope, and Caleb, her cherished grandchildren, Hayley Manahan and Kylee Van Der Helm. Her sister, Loretta and her husband Greg Morris and Patricia and Dickie Manahan and many others. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a constant source of support and love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sons Adam and Kyle Manahan, her nephew John Bushman, Alisa and Christina Moxley, her parents Frank and Alice Shriner, and her fiancé David Plaza. Though her heart carried the pain of those losses, she remained a pillar of love and strength for those around her.

Tammy devoted a majority of her life to doing retail work, where her kindness, loyalty, and strong work ethic made a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike. Her greatest joy, however, came from her family-especially spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and "spoiled rotten" at every opportunity. She was the kind of mother and grandmother who would do anything for her children and always put others before herself.

Tammy will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and selfless spirit will continue to live on in those who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held on October 4th at 11:30 a.m. at Deerfield United Methodist Church in Sabillasville, Maryland. All who knew and loved Tammy are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Tammy's memory by showing kindness to others and holding your loved ones close.

Tammy's care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home in Sabillasville, MD.
