JoAnn Louise Manahan, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 9, 2025 at St. Joseph Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born on November 6, 1941 in Cockeysville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Kathryn Bosely. JoAnn is loving wife of Griffith (Griff) Manahan to whom she would have celebrated 58 years of marriage on August 10.
JoAnn was a graduate of Susquehannock High School, class of 1959. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked as secretary and administrative assistant for several companies namely, Black and Decker, Ryland Homes, Haines Realty and the district office for Senator Larry Haines. JoAnn took great joy in participating in family gatherings. She was an active member of the Church of the Open Door where she and her husband worked for many years in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class, as well as singing in the choir and participating in many other special programs. JoAnn will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
Surviving besides her husband are children, Lisa Pollard and husband, Chad of New Windsor, Gregory Manahan and wife, Kelli of Westminster, and Melissa Craig and husband, Timothy Sr., of Westminster; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Dell and husband, Marlon of Manchester; brother, Preston Butch Bosely and wife Kelly of York, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
JoAnn was also predeceased by bother, Richard Sonny Bosely and sister, Shirley M. Miller.
The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Blvd, Westminster, beginning at 11:00am with an hour of visitation prior beginning at 10:00am.
Internment will take place in St. James Cemetery at Dennings, 3000 Marston Road, Westminster, MD.
Memorial contributions can be made in JoAnn's honor to Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Blvd. Westminster, MD or the Carroll County 4H/FFA Fair.
