Tammy Jean Nelson

Tammy Jean Phipps-Nelson, 67, of Westville, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was born in Siloam Springs to Bobby Lavelle Phipps and Hazel Ruth Wages Baird. Tammy was a dedicated employee of Cobb Hatchery, where she worked on the field crew for many years. In her free time, she found joy in spending time at the river, visiting haunted houses, and raising peacocks. Above all else, Tammy cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Ruth Wages Baird; her father, Bobby Lavelle Phipps; her sister, Connie Renae Barnes; her brother, Ricky Dean Phipps.

Tammy is survived by her son, Bronson Nelson of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; nieces, Bobbie Brown of Watts, Oklahoma, Bridgette Baird of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Shelley Phipps of Westville, Oklahoma, Kristy Tutor of Westville, Oklahoma, Dalena Gifford of Westville, Oklahoma, Destini Phipps of Joshua, Texas, Deedra Phipps of Boyd, Texas; her nephew, Robert Barnes of Jay, Oklahoma; numerous great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews; special friends, Diann Phipps of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, Mike Williams of Chance, Oklahoma, Bill Beard of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Dave Hatfield of Westville, Oklahoma.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date by the family.
