Tammy Ann Smith, 68, of McArthur, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was born on August 31, 1957, in McArthur, the daughter of the late Robert and Loretta (Gee) Morgan. Tammy was married to Terry L. Smith Sr., who survives.
Tammy was a committee member for the Vinton County Republican Party and also a former McArthur City Council Woman. Tammy loved sewing, her flower gardens, cats, and her grandchildren.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Terry; sons, Mark (Glenda) Morgan, Terry (Sherri) Smith Jr., and Brennan Smith all of McArthur; grandchildren, Sarah (David) Daft, Anthony (Rhiannon) Morgan, Cali Smith (Nick Riley) and Tyler Smith; eight great grandchildren; brother, Roger (Marilyn) Morgan of St. Louisville; sister, Doniva Metz of Middleport; and mother-in-law, Shirley Smith of McArthur.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Loretta; sister, Wanda Dunlap; and brothers, Rick Morgan and Ronnie Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Garrett Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
