Tammy L. Steffen (nee Eckhoff), of Saint Jacob, IL, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at the age of 64. Beloved wife of Ron Steffen; cherished daughter of the late Norvell and Jacqueline Eckhoff; devoted mother of Robyn (Matthew) Metz and Sarah Steffen; loving grandmother of Tyler, Avery, Karsen, Mia, Maci, Maggie, and Sawyer; dear sister of Susan (Robert) Reidel and the late Danny (Denise survives) Eckhoff; loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Steffen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us far too soon. Tammy was married to the love of her life, Ron Steffen, with whom she shared a beautiful life built on love, trust and devotion.
Family meant everything to Tammy, and she treasured her role as a mother and grandmother above all else. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she was fiercely protective of them, always ensuring they felt loved and safe. Tammy’s warmth and unwavering support will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to be part of her family.
In her free time, Tammy found joy in the simple pleasures of life—crafting, gardening, and spending time with her beloved dog, Abby. Her creative spirit and nurturing soul touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Tammy’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will forever be remembered as a woman who gave all of herself to the ones she loved and will be deeply missed.
Memorials may be made in Tammy's name to Evelyn's House.
