Tammy Sutherland, 61, was called home May 6, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. To know her is to love her and her beautiful smile. Tammy was a graduate of Ketron High School and a faithful member of Vision Missionary Baptist Church.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Gilliam Trussell; her grandparents; and beloved sister-in-law.
Survivors include daughters, Libby Neeley (Travis); Casey Sutherland (Steven); granddaughters, Kelsey Neeley (Tyler), Riley Carrier (Jayden); three great-grandchildren, Emory-Ann, Kayson and Fendi; her father, Phillip Gilliam; brother, Todd Gilliam, sister, Kim Skeeter (Brad); special aunt and uncle, Peggy and Harron Gilliam. She also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews and friends, all whom she dearly loved.
A special thank you to Watauga Orthopedics for their love and support during this difficult time.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 5:00 – 6:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kyle Falin officiating.
Flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or a donation may be made to Camp Hope of East TN via their website.
