Funeral services for Tammy Sharie Swanner, 60, of Gilmer, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Friday, April 3, 2026, in the chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at Rosewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday.

Tammy was born on February 9, 1966, in San Angelo, Texas, to Larry and Vicki Jamar Christian and passed from this life on March 29, 2026.

Tammy married Brent Swanner on March 15, 1985, in Gilmer, Texas. She worked at Gilmer National Bank for several years and at Harmony ISD for over 20 years in the payroll and benefits department. Tammy enjoyed traveling, hiking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Rosewood Missionary Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brent Swanner; daughters, Miranda Williamson (Logan), and Vanessa Watkins (Dustyn); sisters, Melanie Long, and Amy Fisk; her grandchildren, Wyatt Williamson, Jintri Williamson, Mayzie Watkins, and Malee Watkins; and her father, Larry Christian.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Vicki Christian.

Pallbearers will be Eric Hasty, Kevin Burnett, Cody Hasty, Michael Jamar, David Jamar, and Jared Player.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Texas Baptist Children's Home, 1101 N. Mays St., Round Rock, Texas 78664, or online at tbch.org

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Brittany Riggs for her loving care, and to Heart to Heart Hospice and her nurse, Jennifer Swigart.
