Tammy K. Washburn, 61, of Skandia, passed away on April 28, 2025 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.
Tammy was born on May 5, 1963 in Marquette, MI to Chester and Bonnie (Posio) Barnett. She was a graduate of Gwinn High School.
She married Bruce E. Washburn on June 5, 1981.
Tammy worked at various restaurants, most notable being the Grove and the Throttle Bar & Grill.
She enjoyed being outside working with her plants and in her flower gardens and playing word chums with her sisters. Tammy loved hanging out with her friends, family and grandchildren.
Tammy is survived by her husband Bruce Washburn of Skandia; daughter, Amanda (Blaine Bridges) Washburn of Cornell, MI; three grandchildren, Landon, Trinity and Cash; her sisters, Char (Kurt) Haglund, Brenda Longtine, Renee Barnett and Kayleen Barnett, all of Skandia; her mother-in-law, Mildred Brown; several brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Barnett, and infant sister, Kerry.
A celebration of Tammy's life will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Canale Gwinn Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
