Tammy Collins Whitfield, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Blountstown, Florida, at the age of 55. Born on July 2, 1970, in Kissimmee, Florida, Tammy was known for her easy-going and fun-loving spirit that touched the lives of everyone around her.
Tammy was devoted to her family and found joy in spending time with her loved ones. She is survived by her beloved son, Justin Smith and his wife, Kimberly; her daughter, Brittany Cauthen and her husband, Grey; and her stepdaughter, Amanda Hires and her husband, Clay. Additionally, Tammy leaves behind her cherished sisters, Shelia Collins Hernandez and her husband, Stan, and Shanne Smith and her husband, Ben, along with several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Tammy's legacy is also marked by the love she shared with those who have preceded her in death. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Mark Whitfield; her parents, Dan Collins and Betty Stanley; and her sister, Diane Collins.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Tammy's life will be held on September 14, 2025, at Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown, Florida. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, allowing family and friends to come together to remember her vibrant spirit and the memories she brought into their lives.
As we reflect on Tammy's life, we remember her bright smile and the kindness she bestowed upon everyone she encountered. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
