Tammy Lynn Meeks Woods, 61, of Craigsville, Virginia passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, in the home of Teresa Spray, whom she called her sister, and surrounded by loved ones

She was born August 29, 1964, in Staunton, Virginia, the daughter of Lucy Lynn Clifton Martin and the late Richard Lincoln Meeks.

Tammy has been a caregiver for her family for the last 15 years. She wasn't happy, she was sick, but also thankful because she got to spend time with Michael Stuples and wife Jordan and Tony Lumsden and wife and son Katie and Tucker. Tammy enjoyed crocheting, thrift shopping, spending time with family, and getting her nails and toes painted by Jordan.

On May 19, 2025, Pastor Dean King led her to Christ. Tammy was hopeful to get better so she could attend church and sit with Megan while listening to Pastor King preach and Faith King play piano.

She is survived by her husband, Jamie Edward Woods; brother: David Meeks; sister: Terry Meeks; half-sister: Joanne Seymour; special nieces: Crystal Meeks and husband Chad, Octavia Walker; special aunt: Donella Crist; special friends: Bonnie Sprouse, Christine Mangone; special cousins: Teresa Spray, Jennifer Mathews, Tammy Campbell; great nieces: Carly, Chloe, Callaway, Catalina; and many friends. A special thank you to the RMH Imaging Center. And please keep Lucy Martin in your prayers as she is lost without her baby girl.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father: Richard Meeks; brother: Donald Meeks; and grandparents: Bill Meeks and Nellie Gold Crist, and Silas and Gracie Clifton.

A private family service will be conducted at a later date.
