Tanya Jacquelyn Fowler

Tanya Jacqueline Fowler, 47, passed away on October 6,2024 at her home in Greenville, NC. She was born on April 1, 1977 at Langley Airforce base in Hampton, VA to Thomas J. Fowler and Reba Lynne (Stuart) Fowler. She was a 1995 graduate of Garner Sr. High School and a 2000 graduate of East Carolina University. She was a proud employee at Animal Hospital of Pitt County, where she genuinely showed her love, concern, and care for the animals she tended to and their owners. Her love for animals, cats specifically, developed into her rescuing, nurturing, fostering, adopting, and loving many cats over the years and becoming known as the family "Cat Lady".
Tanya is very well known for her many admirable qualities; her kindness, her fierce loyalty, a wild sense of humor, her genuine sensitivity and concern for others, and her extremely generous and giving nature. Everyone that knows Tanya could always count on old-fashioned hand-written cards for birthdays, accomplishments, gratitude, holidays, and sometimes just because she wanted you to know she was thinking about you. There are several things she loved passionately. Among those things were the beach, her cats, and ECU football.
Most of all, more than anything, Tanya loved her family and friends boundlessly and unconditionally. She is survived by her Father, Thomas J. Fowler Jr.; Brothers, TJ and Travis Fowler (Blair Ward); nephews Taj, Cyrus, and Lyn Fowler; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She is predeceased by her mother, Reba Lynne Stuart Fowler (2000).
Tanya will be greatly missed by family and friends, to say the least.
***Immediately following the service as Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, family and friends of Tanya are invited to the home of Kasey Faison (cousin), 421 Winding Oak Way, Clayton, NC for refreshments, further visitation and celebration of Tanya's life.
