Tanya Ann Lodics PhD, 69, of Greenwood passed away November 2, 2025.
Tanya was born November 5, 1955, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to the late Ernest & Faith (Cannie) Lodics.
Most of her life she was raised in Morgan Township in Northern Indiana.
She completed her PhD at Purdue University, having graduated with honors. Tanya went on to work for Purdue University and
Eli Lilly & Co.
Tanya used her love of conservation and was a founder of the Friends of Big Pine Creek and was active in other watershed groups.
She always had a love of the water. She loved exploring nature, kayaking and canoeing. She also enjoyed live music and dancing.
Tanya was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Colts and being a lifelong fan of Purdue Boilermakers.
She was preceded in death by: her beloved brother Matthew J. Lodics (2021).
She is survived by: her sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Nicole Claypool, Nicholas and Wendy Claypool; siblings, Ernest Jr., Daniel, Alicia, Paul, Edward, Angela & John; grandchildren, Tayler, Christian, Colten, Wyatt, Noelle, Caleb, and Cayden; significant other, Nils "Big Nick" Haarbye.
Visitation will be on Saturday, Nov. 8th from 12:30-2:30pm at Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi,
following visitation mass is scheduled at 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests if you are comfortably able to donate any amount, it would really help us fulfill the
