Tanya Weis Obituary

Tanya Weis, a cherished soul known for her kind and selfless nature, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, in her hometown of Evansville, Indiana. Born on June 19, 1960, to the late George and Betty Weis, Tanya's life was a testament to the love and joy she brought to those around her.

Tanya was a beacon of light in the lives of her beloved daughters, Cassandra Weis, married to Addison Pierce, and Tashana Weis. Her joy was multiplied by her adoring grandchildren, Isaiah Weis, Gabriella Pierce, Juan, Jareht, Tatiana, and Zendayah Solis, who will carry the legacy of her warmth and compassion.

Survived by her devoted brother, Ronald Weis, and his wife Debbie, Tanya was a sister, aunt, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, including her sister-in-law Barbara Weis and several nieces and nephews. Though her lifelong companion, Robert Spain, and siblings, Brenda Capo, Tammy Bullington, and Darryl Weis, preceded her in death, the bond they shared continues to inspire.

Tanya's passion for abstract drawing reflected her ability to see the world through a lens of creativity and wonder. Her love for clowns was more than a hobby; it was an extension of her playful spirit and her desire to bring smiles to the faces of those she loved. An animal lover at heart, Tanya's kindness knew no bounds, extending to all creatures great and small.

Above all, Tanya cherished spending time with her family. Each moment was an opportunity to create memories, share stories, and express the love that was the cornerstone of her existence. Her selfless nature was evident in every act of generosity and every gesture of support she offered without expectation of anything in return.

As we remember Tanya Weis, we celebrate a life lived with an open heart and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. Her legacy of kindness and selflessness will continue to influence and guide us. Tanya's memory will be treasured, her presence missed, and her life celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Funeral services for Tanya will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home in the Chapel of Peace at 12noon. Family and friends may visit from 11am until time of service. Burial will immediately follow.
