Tara Mallendick Obituary
Tara Kathleen Mallendick, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2024. She was born in Toledo on April 13, 1972, to parents Timmie and Denise (Weaver) Dew.
Tara graduated from Whitmer High School in 1990 and went on to get her associate degree from the University of Toledo. She trained to be a paramedic, but married the love of her life, Matt, in 1997 and found her true calling as a devoted wife and mother to her three children. Tara's love knew no bounds. She embodied kindness, selflessness, and unwavering support for her children.
In addition to spending time with family, Tara enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her garden. She always found something to occupy her time, whether knitting or baking her delicious cookies.
Tara was a strong presence in the lives of all who knew her. Her generosity, humility, and the sound of the laughter that came with her sense of humor will be missed.
Tara is survived by her husband, Matt; children, Olivia, Emily, Max; and English Bulldog, Dottie; parents, Timmie and Denise Dew; sisters Tamara Dew, and Tracy (Joe) Settelmeyer; and brothers-in-law, Robert and Marc Mallendick.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave., Toledo. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024, in the Lambertville United Methodist Church, 8165 Douglas Road, Lambertville, MI 48144. Committal will be private.
Memorial contributions in Tara's name are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
