Tara Nolan Obituary
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we remember Tara Nolan, whose radiant spirit touched
everyone fortunate enough to know her. Tara passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 35, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer-a fight she met with unwavering strength and grace, far surpassing every expectation.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, Tara grew up surrounded by the warmth and guidance of her mother, Lisa, and her stepfather, Dean, both of whom preceded her in death. Their nurturing shaped Tara into a woman of extraordinary kindness and creativity, qualities she carried throughout her life.
Tara's journey led her to Texas State University, where she earned her degree in Recreation
Administration. Her passion for enriching lives blossomed as she became the program director
for recreational therapy at a nursing home. Tara was a beacon of joy and innovation for her
senior patients, always dreaming up unique activities to spark laughter, movement, and
connection. Her devotion to their wellbeing was matched only by her imagination-whether she was orchestrating art projects, garden walks, or music sessions, she made every day brighter for those in her care.
In December 2014, Tara married her soulmate, Shane Nolan (35). Their love story began in high school, where Shane was Tara's first boyfriend, and was rekindled years later when fate brought them home for the holidays. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and deep devotion-a true fairytale love. Shane stood by Tara's side every step of her journey, ensuring she was surrounded by comfort and peace.
Tara's greatest joy came with the birth of her two sons, Tavo Nolan (9) and Luca Nolan (7).
When the Navy moved the family to Oklahoma, Tara embraced motherhood wholeheartedly,
pouring her boundless energy and love into raising her boys. She was their greatest champion, always encouraging their curiosity and creativity-whether she was learning to skateboard, racing RC cars, or exploring nature alongside them. Tavo and Luca were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent nurturing their spirits.
Tara's life was a tapestry of vibrant passions. She delighted in caring for animals, sharing her
home with dogs, cats, chickens, and bunnies. She found beauty in wildflowers, butterflies, and
bees, and her gentle touch made every living thing feel cherished. Her home was a sanctuary of laughter, love, and the simple pleasures of life.
In her final moments, Tara was surrounded by those she loved most-her devoted husband
Shane, and her beloved younger sister, Tori Sheard (31) of Austin, Texas. Tara's determination to spend as much time as possible with her family gave them three precious years of memories, a testament to her fierce love and resilience.
Tara's legacy is one of compassion, creativity, and joy. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who were inspired by her, and a world made brighter by her presence. Her story is not just one of courage in the face of adversity, but of a life lived fully, with heart wide open.
We will remember Tara in every wildflower, every burst of laughter, and every act of kindness.
Her love endures in the lives she touched and the memories she created-a beautiful soul,
forever cherished.
