Tashi Tsering Obituary

Tashi Tsering went to refugee school in Kalimpong, India and studied till 8th Grade. Tashi was a bright and excellent student with distinction but was compelled to drop out of school due to economic and family circumstances. Tashi with his family members relocated from Manali to Kollegal Tibetan Refugee Settlement in the mid 1970's. Tashi had served the Tibetan Refugee Communities for over 3 decades under different organizations as a community leader. Tashi was a devoted father and great human being, he was loved by his community for his selfless and honest leadership while serving his community.
Tashi Tsering was a great chef, loves gardening, travelling and dogs. Tashi was a great sports lover - Soccer, Cricket, Volleyball, and Hockey. Tashi enjoyed watching IPL, news, youtube and spent leisure time on social media like facebook and WhatsApp.
Tashi Tsering was able to meet all his children, grandchildren except youngest son Tenzin Lhawang who resides in India but he was able to talk via video call. Tashi Tsering's last parting words to his eldest Son Dhondup Shokta "Look after your siblings, Mother Tashi Dolma and be good to your children and do not scold them. I am now aged 72 and am not afraid of dying,"
Tashi Tsering immigrated to the United States in 2016 and became a proud US Citizen on October 17, 2022.
Tashi Tsering was the pillar of his family and our hearts are saddened by his passing and he will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 08th, 2022 from 08:00 - 10:00 hours at Washburn - McReavy Hillside Cemetery - 2610 19th Avenue N.E, Minneapolis, MN - 55418, United States of America.
