Taurean Jamal Smith age 38 of Pulaski, Illinois was also known as "the Beedle, Beegie, T-Dot, Uncle T, Tory, and Buddy" to many of his family and friends. Taurean was born on June 6,1987 in Carbondale, Illinois to Tony and Teresa Smith, and went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2025. Taurean loved attending church and his SJPWC church family. He served as an usher for many years and enjoyed fellowshipping with people.

Taurean was the youngest of 4 children. He grew up in Pulaski and prior to moving to 59 Norman Lane, was known to ride his bike thoughout the town visiting friends, the shut-ins and the elderly. He was a graduate of Meridian High School in Mounds, Illinois and was employed by MAP/Chamness Care in Karnak, Illinois until his death.

When not at church or work, Taurean's favorite pastimes were watching wrestling, playing video games, buying games and going to the barbershop.

Taurean was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Starling S. Smith, Sr., maternal grandparents Ruth Ann McWilliams and Wilfred McWilliams, and first cousin Juanita Smith.

Although we are deeply saddened by his sudden departure from this life, his memory will remain in the hearts of those of us that remain: parents Tony and Teresa Smith; brother Tony Smith, Jr. (Mikesha) of Tucson, AZ. Sisters Taijaana Smith of Marion, IL and Tamice Smith of Cape Girardeau, MO., Paternal grandmother Maedell Smith of Pulaski. Uncles: Starling Smith, Jr. (Vondra) of Vienna, IL; Leonard Smith (Netta) of Klondike, IL: Clinton Smith of Pulaski, IL; Jalen McWilliams, Sr. of Cartagena, Columbia; Richard Smith (Felicia) of Swansea, IL: Keith McWilliams (Charmaine) of Memphis, TN, Kevin McWilliams (Monica) of Olive Branch, MS and Lafayette Johnson (Pamela) of Peoria, IL. Aunts: Velvet Smith of Cairo, IL; Angela Smith-Ladd (David) of Pulaski, IL; Terry E. Black (Jerry) of Wesson, MS; and Rosemary Johnson of Chicago, IL. Nephews: Tehavous Johnson of Marion, IL, Taliq and Tyjarius Smith of Tucson, AZ; Maquis and Maurice Purdiman of Cape Girardeau, MO; and Trevoris James of Cape Girardeau, MO. Nieces: Alexa Smith of Tucson, AZ; Taniya and Alysa Purdiman of Cape Girardeau, MO.
