Tavon Maurice Jones passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2023. Tavon was born on May 23, 1994, in Chesapeake, VA. In 2006, Tavon and his family moved to Buford, GA where he attended Osborne Middle School. While Tavon attended Mill Creek High School, he graduated from Mountain View High School in 2012. Tavon liked trying new things and he liked traveling across the country. Tavon also liked watching anime, drawing, playing video games, reading, and going to live music concerts. On October 1, 2020, Tavon was involved in a near-fatal car accident which required various surgeries and many weeks of physical rehabilitation and mental therapy. Tavon's recovery period lasted about 9 months which exceeded expectations. Once Tavon was back into the world, he lived his life as only he could: adventurous and free. Tavon is survived by his parents: Jason and Tammy Jones, sisters: Tiara and Taija, maternal grandparents: Tyrone and Irene Artis, paternal grandmother: Lois Holloway and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, chosen family, and friends!!! As per Tavon's instructions, his body will be cremated without a traditional ceremony. A celebration of life ceremony will be held in his birth state of Virginia, details to be determined at a later date.
