TAWANA JEAN MITCHELL BRIDGES

March 9, 1975 - September 1, 2024

Funeral Services for Tawana Jean Mitchell-Bridges, 49, of Grand Prairie, TX will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, September 14, 2024. Service will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church, 428 Church Street, Wilmot, Arkansas; Rev. William Freeman, Pastor; Rev. Albert Fenceroy, Pastor of Sweet Home Baptist Church, Officiating Minister.

Tawana was born on March 9, 1975 to Lewis Mitchell and Ann Clark in Dallas, Texas. Her church affiliation was with Bethlehem Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, TX under the leadership of Dr. Michael A. Evans, Sr. She did 20 years of service in the United States Army, earning a wide variety of awards and achievements. After retirement, she made her residence in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Tawana passed away on September 1, 2024 at her home in Grand Praiarie, Texas. She is survived by two children, Za'niaya Turner of Grand Prairie, TX and Milton Turner, IV of Grand Prairie, TX; her long-term companion, Milton Turner, III of Grand Prairie, Texas; eleven siblings, Angela Watkins (Marlon) of Little Rock, AR, Terrance Mitchell (Lois, deceased) of Ervin, CA, Brian Mitchell (Carri) of Raleigh, NC, Patrick Mitchell (Toi) of Las Vegas, NV, Kenny Earl Mitchell of Parkdale, AR, Ervin Mitchell of Parkdale, AR, Teressa Montague (Augustus) of Parkdale, AR, Patrick Mitchell of Parkdale, AR, Jackie Clark of Little Rock, AR, Colla Hatter of Little Rock, AR, and Angela Aleman (Jose) of Little Rock, AR.

Burial will take place at Saint Martha's Cemetery, Highway 152, East, Wilmot, AR. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 137 Front Street, Eudora, AR.
