Tay Barnett Obituary
Tay Herbert Barnett (1952 - 2025)
Tay Herbert Barnett, aged 73, of Ruidoso, New Mexico passed away peacefully on September 28th, 2025, in his home after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease.
Tay was born on January 24, 1952, in Artesia, New Mexico, to Boyd and Arlene Barnett. Tay and his wife Kathy opened Barnett Carpets in 1974, running the business with devotion for 45 years until retirement.
Tay was a man of service and faith, acting as a leader and elder at Trinity Mountain Fellowship and Grace Harvest Church for many decades.
A family man and avid outdoorsman, Tay loved hunting, fishing, and the beauty of wildlife and nature.
Tay is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy Barnett, his children Bronwyn Parsons of Encinitas, CA, Keely Tondino of Ruidoso, NM, and Gage Barnett of Seattle, WA.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, October 4th at Grace Harvest Church in Ruidoso.
