Ted was born in St. Peter, MN on January 17, 1961 to Richard (Ditch) Boys and Colleen Jentz. His family moved to Shakopee when he was only one year old. He went to SACS for 8 years and graduated from Shakopee High School in 1979.
He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Hullander, on August 21, 1981. The same day his parents and her parents celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. Together they had three sons, Teddy, James, and Nic.
Ted went to work straight out of high school working up the corporate ladder at a local company for 26 years, ending his career there as a successful salesman. In 2005 Ted started Boys Contracting & Outdoors, LLC. In 2009, he partnered with Kathy and started their own company, Boys Water Products. His legacy continues through his two oldest sons continuing to run the business. He was very proud to be the innovator, risk taker, and mentor in this successful family business.
He loved to camp, hunt, and fish on the family's land in Elbow Lake. Sharing that love with his boys. He was so proud of the men they are today. Going to see his grandchildren play hockey, lacrosse, or anything they decided to do, was his pride and joy. Ted's sense of humor permeated every conversation and brought laughter, creating lasting memories even through his pain.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Terri Boys Greening, father, Ditch Boys, and mother-in-law, Mary Hullander. He is survived by his wife Kathy of 43 years, his sons, Teddy, Shakopee, James (Brittney) Prior Lake, Nicholas (Kayla) Seattle, WA. Grandchildren: Jackson, Mason, Easton, Logan, and Nora. Mother, Colleen Boys of Shakopee, Brothers : Tony (Royce) of Elbow Lake, Tim (Carrie) of Eden Prairie, Tom (Lisa) of Shakopee. Sisters: Tammy (Steve) Florez of Shakopee, and Kelly (Doug) Anderson of Colorado. Father-in-law, Richard Hullander (Virginia Gardell) of Hastings, Brothers-in-law: Steve Hullander of Annandale, Rich (Mary) Hullander of South Haven, Mike (Peggy) Hullander of Shakopee, Bob (Pam) Hullander of Rogers, John Hullander of Shakopee. Sisters-in-law: Carolie Hullander of Annandale, Patti (John) Schroers and Mary Bouley of Shakopee. Many, many nieces and nephews and friends.
A private service will be held for immediate family at Shakopee Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, May 15th, 2025 at 4:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Shakopee VFW Post 4046, 1201 3rd Ave E, Shakopee, MN 55379-1666 on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. All are welcome.

I worked with Ted at water products company for seven years from 1982 to 1989. I I have a lot of great memories and laughs from those days l. Rest in peace, brother. My condolences to Ted´s immediate and extended family.
