Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - Kettering ChapelTed Carpenter, affectionately known as "TC," was born on December 20, 1953, in Troy, where he also spent his final moments surrounded by his loving family on August 11, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity.
A proud graduate of Graham High School, Class of 1972, TC dedicated much of his professional life to the fields of Aristocrat Products and the Hobart brothers, where he developed a reputation for his hard work and integrity. He was known not only for his commitment to his career but also for the great sense of humor that endeared him to colleagues and clients alike. TC always had a joke at the ready, showing that he cherished laughter and camaraderie throughout his life.
In addition to his professional pursuits, TC was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and peacefully watching the deer gather in his side yard where he laid corn for them to feed on. His passion for adventure extended to riding his Harley Davidson, which allowed him to explore the open road and embrace the thrill of freedom. He cherished moments spent on the family farm, gathering with his family and friends, or just watching "The Five" while Bonita played Solitaire. He also enjoyed watching the classics on ME TV.
TC’s personal life was marked by his deep devotion to his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Bonita Carpenter, who stood by him as a partner and friend. TC proudly raised three children: Janice (Richard) Torres, Julie (Chris) Amann, and Megan Carpenter, instilling in them the values of kindness and generosity that he exemplified. His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, and he is survived by five beloved grandchildren: Victorya, Kylie, Collin, Sebastian, and Alexander "Lex." His family tree continued to grow with the addition of three great-grandchildren, Auroralynn, Emorie, and Theodore "Theo", each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Additionally, TC is remembered by his brother, Timmy Carpenter, two nephews, Tyler and Heath, as well as a great-nephew, Myles; four sisters-in-law, Vicki (Joe) Auldridge, Belinda Carter, Rhonda Rose, Teah Bishop; and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Naoma, and his bonus mother, Leah whom he loved dearly.
Throughout his life, TC was proud of the roles he played as a father, grandfather, and brother. His legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and unyielding support for those he loved. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
