Ted Parsons, 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in Roswell, New Mexico, surrounded by family. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Ted's family at www.andersonbethany.com. A graveside service will be held in Ted's honor on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at South Park Cemetery, with John Kite officiating. Ted Douglas Parsons was born on April 1, 1955, in Roswell, New Mexico, to G.B. and Lois Conn Parsons. He graduated high school from Goddard High School before attending Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell and receiving a Degree in Electronics. He worked for United States Post Office prior to retirement. He was a proud volunteer firefighter with the Berrendo Volunteer Fire Department for many years, dedicating his time and heart to protecting those in his local community. Ted was a devoted NASCAR lover whose weekends were spent cheering on his favorite driver, Jimmy Johnson. When he was not tuned into the race, you could find him doing things outdoors such as casting a line at his favorite fishing hole or hunting different animals. His passion for life, heart of service, and love for the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He truly was a "Big Lovin' Teddy Bear", as his daughter described him. Those left to eternally cherish their memories of Ted are his wife, April Bellini Parsons; children, Deantha Parsons, Douglas Parsons, Stacey Fort, Shawn Brink and wife, Melissa, and Scott Brink; grandchildren, Hannah Stanford, Isabel Stanford-Picardo and wife, Nini, Christian Parsons-Wade, Tim Fort, Jonah Fort, Simon Fort, Hanah Sappington and husband, Craig, Haylee Brink, and Caden Brink; great-grandchildren, Blakelee and Rick Sappington, and Kohen Sedillo; and his faithful lap dog, Lucy. Waiting to welcome Ted to eternal rest are his parents G.B. and Lois Conn Parsons, and siblings, Robert Parsons and Jerry Parsons. This tribute was written in Ted's honor by his family. The Parsons family asks, if it's in your heart to give, that in lieu of flowers that you make a donation to the Sierra Volunteer Fire Department in Ted's honor.
