Ted W. Schweikert

Ted Wilbur Schweikert, age 71 of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born November 12, 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Wilbur and Dorothy (Dinger) Schweikert. Ted was a retired dedicated and compassionate certified registered nurse anesthetist for the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He proudly served his country as a veteran of both the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and the United States Air Force during the Gulf War. It was in the Air Force that Ted discovered his passion for flying, a love he joyfully passed down to his son. He was a man deeply rooted in faith and family, actively participating in the Wilmington Church of Christ. Ted found immense joy in traveling, flying and scuba diving, treasures he cherished even more when enjoyed with his family. Throughout his life, he exemplified steadfast faith in God, always prioritizing his beliefs while nurturing unconditional love for those closest to him. His legacy of love, faith and adventure will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Besides his parents, Ted was preceded in death by three sisters – Valerie Schweikert, Pamela Cordes and Barbara Stinson.

Mr. Schweikert is survived by one son – Sean Schweikert of New Vianna, Ohio; one brother – Gary Schweikert of Georgetown, Ohio; one sister – Connie Womack and husband Steve of Clarksville, Tennessee; one brother-in-law – George Stinson; one nephew – Todd Stinson and wife Dawn; one niece – Angie Stitzel and husband Matt and mother of his son – Jennifer Cross-Schweikert of New Vianna, Ohio.
