Teddy Wayne Meairs

Teddy Wayne Meairs passed away November 4, 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by love. He was born on May 25, 1962, in Wichita, KS to parents Buck Meairs and Connie Vogan. Teddy grew up in Haysville, Kansas, and was raised with great care and devotion by Buck and Jayne Meairs. Teddy is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Meairs; his son, Colt (Jessica) Meairs; and his step-sons, Landon Diedrich and James Diedrich. He was a proud grandfather to Alexis Boone, Christopher Boone, Lilyanna Boone, Emmerson Meairs, Thomas Diedrich, Nash Meairs, and Jaycee Meairs. He is also survived by his mother, Jayne Meairs, and siblings Frank Meairs, Ronnie (Shiloh) Meairs, Jeremy Meairs, Cindy (Charles) Offen, Buck (Tiffany) Meairs, and Dean (Kori) Meairs, along with many nieces and nephews who adored him. Teddy was preceded in death by his daughter Tara Meairs, step-son Michael Diedrich, father Buck Meairs, mother Connie Vogan and sister-in-law Cleana Meairs. Known for his incredible craftsmanship, Teddy could make or fix just about anything. He was always tinkering, creating, or lending a helping hand. Those who knew him will remember his quiet strength, his good humor, and his knack for stirring up a little fun with his "brothers" from the old neighborhood. Teddy may have been "bad to the bone," but he didn't have a mean bone in his body. Soft-spoken and kind-hearted, he cherished time spent with family-especially at the lake, fishing, and chasing after the kiddos. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. Celebration of Life will be Saturday November 15, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM (come and go event) at Boeing Lake 4226 S Gold, Wichita, Kansas.
