Teresa Whitehead Chadic

Teresa Whitehead Chadic, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, in Monahans, Texas at the age of 72. She was born on September 20, 1952, in Meade, Kansas, to Dean Carl and Mary Belle Whitehead. Teresa was a compassionate and nurturing soul who dedicated her life to caring for her family and friends.
Teresa is preceded in death by her loving parents, Dean and Mary Belle Whitehead and her brother, Mike Whitehead. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Teresa's life was marked by her unwavering love and devotion to her husband, Geary Chadic, whom she married on March 5, 1988, in Kermit, Texas. Together, they built their home in Monahans, where they created memories with laughter and joy. Teresa was not only a loving wife but a proud mother to her children. She is survived by her daughter Lori Michaud (husband Zachary) of San Antonio, Texas; and her sons Dean Chadic (wife Bernadette) of Monahans, Texas, and Michael Chadic (wife Gina) of Alexandria, Virginia. Teresa was particularly proud of her grandchildren: James, Tyler, Joshua, Trevor, Brendyn and Kylie, who brought immense joy, laughter and light to her life. Each moment filled her heart with pride and happiness as she watched them grow and flourish.
In addition to her immediate family, Teresa is survived by her sisters, Linda Moore of El Paso, Texas and Debbie Caldwell (husband John Ed) of Port Lavaca, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She had a passion for cooking and baking, often delighting her family and friends with her culinary creations, especially during the holiday season. Her homemade candies and baked goods have become cherished traditions, and her love was felt in each delicious bite.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Arcelia, Ricky, Crystal and everyone at Interim Hospice Care, as well as the dedicated staff of Sandhills Nursing and Rehab Center, who provided Teresa with compassion and care during her final days. Your kindness means the world to us.
While we mourn the loss of Teresa, we celebrate her life, her spirit, and the memories that will forever remain in our hearts. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In honor of Teresa's wishes, a private funeral service will be held to honor her memory. In this time of sorrow, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and carry her spirit with us in all of our endeavors.
