Teresa Christine (Stoneking) Davis was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1956, in Beardstown, Illinois, to Lewis Calvin and Marie Maxine (Cammire) Stoneking. She passed away on May 7, 2025, as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Kiowa County, Kansas.
Teresa had a gypsy soul - adventurous, free-spirited, and always on the move. Throughout her life, she held many jobs and wore many hats. She wasn't afraid of change and embraced the twists and turns that life brought her. She was a loyal fan of the Denver Broncos and Chicago Cubs, and she loved her coffee, Pepsi, and Winston Lights.
But more than anything, Teresa loved being "Nana" - a title she held with pride. She also loved to stir up shit and didn't take any shit - a truth everyone who knew her could confirm without hesitation.
Teresa is survived by her children, Tracy Scott (Jason), Billy Thompson (Sharon), Sunshine Norris (Mary Lou), and Scarlett Wondra (James); sixteen grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; siblings, Lewis, Ed, Marilyn, Diane (James), Jerry (Margo), Steve (Tracy), and Bobby (Kim); cousins, Rick Palmer (Sherri); and soul sister, Mable Kountz (Donald).
She is preceded in death by her parents, dad, Charles Logsdon; sister, Barbara; brothers, George and Vic; beloved grandsons, Cody Deason, Travis and Hunter Welch; special friend, Butch Trisch; and her furbabies, Charlie Brown, Lilly Belle, and Cali.
Cremation has taken place, and services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions to assist the Welch family during this difficult time may be made by writing checks payable to "Memorial Fund" and mailing them to Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory, P.O. Box 1200, Sublette, KS 67877. Online condolences may be left at WeeksFamilyFuneralHome.com.
