Teresa E. Rigney

Teresa E. Rigney, 66, Marion, passed away at 2:07 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, March 28, 1959, to Marion Charles and Carolyn S. (Smith) Bishir. Teresa dedicated her career to retail, where she found purpose and connection. She had a deep love for her dogs, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. Teresa was captivated by lighthouses and dreamed of traveling, but the means was never there. One place that held a special place in her heart was Mackinac Island, which she was fortunate to visit a few times, creating cherished memories.
Survivors include her son, Joseph (Lisa) Rigney; sister, Vicky Yeakle; brothers, Mike Bishir, Terry (Karen) Bishir and Chuck Bishir; grandchildren, Caleb (Madison), Kenny (Melanie), Christia (Jaymz), Cameron, Destiny, Ethan, Ezra, Hayden, and Serenity; great-grandchildren, Shane, Nevaeh, Jaxson, Olivia, Oakley, Haize, Rylan, Adilynn, Brynnley, and Weston; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Janice (Bishir) Ashley, Shirley (Bishir) Miller, and Cindy Ann (Bishir) Wilkes.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Teresa's life will begin at 6:00 pm with Pastor Bill Nichols officiating.
Following the service for a time of fellowship and remembrance, dinner will be served at Georgie's Cafe and Family Restaurant, 1030 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
