Teri's Obituary

Teri L. Williams (79) passed on December 19, at the Hanson Hospice Center, St. Joseph, Michigan. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Harshman, and two children, Christine (Corey) Fowler, Windsor, Pennsylvania, and Ryan (Margaret Tribbey) Harshman, E. Lansing, Michigan; five grandchildren, Corey, Cinzia, Chloe, and Charlee Fowler, and Sophie Harshman; her sister, Donna (John) McKay; and two nieces, Lee Ann McKay and Rae Lynn (Ken) Miller.

Teri was born in Chicago, Illinois and resided for many years in Superior, Wisconsin/Duluth, Minnesota. She received a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University, McComb, and a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She spent five years as a naturalist at Forest Park Nature Center, Peoria, Illinois, twenty-five years in Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and five years in administration at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Teri was a member of the board for the International Wolf Center, Ely, Minnesota for fifteen years where she initiated the annual Wolf Symposium. She also arranged the transport of injured raptors from northern Minnesota to the University of Minnesota Raptor Rehabilitation Center, St. Paul, Minnesota and was a Chicago Bird Collision Monitor (CBCM) rescuing injured birds for rehabilitation or museum specimens. Teri participated for several years in the Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC) in Pensacola, Florida and Foley, Alabama, during time spent in her winter home in Orange Beach, Alabama.

A Celebration of Life for Teri is planned for June, 2026. Her ashes will be interred at St Casimer Cemetery, Chicago,, Illinois. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph, MI. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
