Terra J. Engelhart, 51, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home near Venturia, ND.
Terra Janell Wagner, daughter of Janice (Bender) and Terry Wagner, was born November 25, 1973, in Valley City, ND. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in LaMoure, ND. She grew up in Marion, ND where she attended school, graduating with the MHS Class of 1992. She attended college at Valley City State University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1996. Terra began her teaching career at Zeeland Public School where she taught a combined 5th and 6th grade class. After teaching 4 years in Zeeland, Terra taught 2nd grade at Ashley Public School for the next 20 years. Due to her health, Terra retired from teaching in the fall of 2021. Terra truly loved each and every one of her students.
Terra married James Engelhart in LaMoure on July 18, 1998. They settled on the Engelhart Farm west of Venturia. Terra and James welcomed their first daughter, Tiffany in 1999. Allison joined her big sister in 2006, and Jillian completed the family in 2009. Family was the most important thing in Terra's life. She felt blessed in so many ways, having a husband who loved her dearly and raising three beautiful daughters who brought her enormous joy and pride.
Terra was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Pheasants Forever. Her hobbies included baking, especially at Christmas, decorating for the holidays, reading, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Terra and her family have amazing memories from their travels that they will cherish forever.
Grateful for having shared her life are her mother, Janice Wagner of West Fargo, ND; James Engelhart, her husband of 26 years; three daughters, Tiffany Engelhart, Allison Engelhart, and Jillian Engelhart all of Venturia; and one sister, Jessica (Michael) Mack of West Fargo; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Terry Wagner, three angel babies, and her grandparents.
