Terrance Arthur “Buggy” Kincaid, Jr., 33, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Mission Hospital McDowell.
He was born February 23, 1990 to Vondia Lazette Cash Ballenger and the late Terrance Arthur Kincaid, Sr.
Buggy attended McDowell High School from 2005 to 2007 and later graduated from Carolina Prep School in Charlotte. He was a phenomenal athlete who set many records during his time at McDowell High. He was the star of the football team, and he also played basketball. He was an avid fan of the UNC Tarheels and the Los Angeles Lakers. Buggy was known as the protector of his family and will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, and teammate.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bobby Joe Kincaid; and an uncle, Forrest Kincaid.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Vondia Ballenger (Bobby); two children, Terraji Kincaid and Terrance Kincaid, III; his sister, Terrian Kincaid; maternal grandparents, Callie and Joe Cash; paternal grandmother, Maxine Kincaid; his longtime partner, Shanell Woody; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Beam Celebration Center. The service will be officiated by Rev. Phillip Forney, Rev. Walter Pegues, and Rev. Edward Ballenger. Interment will follow at McDowell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.
