Terrance Lee "Terry" Jackson

Terrance "Terry" Lee Jackson, age 73, of Rochester, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Born on November 5, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Terry grew up in Michigan and graduated from Birmingham Groves High School.
Terry was a passionate entrepreneur and the proud founder of Custard Cup, later known as Custard & Company in Royal Oak, Michigan. Through decades of dedication, he built not only a beloved local business but also lasting friendships with his staff and customers, creating a community that reflected his kindness and generosity.
Outside of work, Terry cherished time with family and friends. A devoted Michigan State fan, he held season tickets for MSU football for many years, with the highlight being the unforgettable 100th Rose Bowl trip in 2014 he shared with his family. Terry was also deeply committed to supporting Type 1 Diabetes research in honor of his grandson, Connor, who was diagnosed at just nine months old. His life was marked by love, loyalty, and a spirit of giving that touched everyone around him.
Terry is survived by his son, Ryan Jackson; his beloved grandchildren, Connor, Chase, and Isla; his brother Larry Jackson; his longtime friend and partner, Rose Elliott; Rose's sons, Brandon and Mark; and his first wife and lifelong friend, Susan Emmett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Terrance R. Jackson and H. Elizabeth Jackson.
Terry leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
